The boys who healed me is about a 16 year old girl (Silver) and her mom (Becca). They are on the run from Silver’s abusive stepdad after he almost killed Becca. They’ve been running for hours in a huge storm and are about to collapse when they come across a house. A teenage boy (Hawk 16) opens the door. He decides to let them in and 3 more men (Archer 16) (Noah 16) (the boys dad Karl) appear in the living room. The men graciously let them stay the night but things just continue to spiral from here.
The book was definitely more of an amateur read and felt very rushed. I loved the idea behind the characters and their backgrounds but I feel like it wasn’t executed well. This is a good book for less advanced readers who don’t like anything spicy 🌶
